Lessons Learned: A Community Conversation
On August 21, Living Branch Church hosted its first Community Conversation, bringing neighbors together for an evening of thoughtful discussion, shared experiences and connection.
Former Indiana Senator Jim Merritt, author of Lessons Learned: Are We Ready for the Next Pandemic?, shared reflections from his book and lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic. He was joined by Chad Knecht, former Noblesville Deputy Mayor and Public Safety Director, for a broader conversation about how the pandemic affected our local community, what leaders and residents learned through the experience, and how those lessons can help us respond to future challenges.
The evening focused not only on looking back, but on looking forward, highlighting the importance of listening, communication, preparedness, community connection and finding hope in uncertain circumstances. Guests were also invited to share their own perspectives and questions as part of the conversation.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make our first Community Conversation a meaningful one. Explore the photo gallery below for a look back at the evening.
