A Discipleship Ministry of Living Branch Church

*NOTE: We will pause Theology Thursday for the summer while Pastor Cody fills in for Pastor Keith’s sabbatical. You are encouraged to get together for ad lib fellowship, prayer & ongoing learning through our community groups & men’s/women’s ministries. There are many good Christian biographies out there for summer reading & we recommend Eric Metaxas “7 Men” and “7 Women.”

“We should ask God to increase our hope when it is small, awaken it when it is dormant, confirm it when it is wavering, strengthen it when it is weak, and raise it up when it is overthrown.” -John Calvin

If our mission as a church is to glorify God & enjoy Him by making disciples, then we ought to be growing and thoughtful disciples! Sunday mornings are wonderful opportunities to receive the Word while Thursday evenings are wonderful opportunities to actively engage in asking good questions in community. Our vision for community groups is to focus on fellowship, prayer and intimate support while our vision for Theology Thursday is to learn, dive deep and to sharpen one another. For us, theology is not merely an intellectual exercise to boost our pride, but an exercise of the heart to boost our love for God and others.

E-mail Pastor Cody at cbrobst@livingbranch.net to learn more about how to join us. Last semester we considered the Power of the Tongue and Spiritual Conversations and the Fruit of the Spirit (one per week). We are meeting on Zoom and in various homes when the weather is nice at 6:30pm. Meetings typically last for an hour. Updates on the topics are sent out on social media Thursday mornings and in our weekly newsletter on Wednesdays.
