Men’s Discipleship

At Living Branch Church, “We desire for all men to be fed, to be led, and to be a leader to others.”

With the many family, work, and community responsibilities placed on men in today’s culture, it can be hard to find rest where the expectations are reasonable. We believe that biblical men don’t check out in response to these overwhelming realities, but we enter in emotionally, spiritually, and relationally.

Jesus says “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men (Mark 1:17).” So that is our aim: to be fed by the Bread of Life and God’s Word, to become the men God created us to be in community, and then with a full cup, to be sent out to our homes, workplaces, and cities to be empowered and energetic men who model in word and deed the beauty of the Gospel of Jesus.

We have met before on Friday mornings to pray, discuss theology, and to share about our lives over breakfast. Currently we meet on occasional Saturday mornings from 8-10am to do the same. We have discussed Tim Keller’s “Walking With God Through Pain and Suffering” and J.I. Packer’s “Knowing God” to name a few. Come join us! You were not meant to be a protector, provider, or producer on your own. Our next get together is Saturday November 2nd at 8am.
